Default Help Oil Sending Unit

hey guys i have replaced the unit twice in a couple of months its just starts flickering and than stays at bottom The level and pressure is fine, just curious if anyone has ideas

It is either a wiring problem OR your engine might have a very clogged up oil pump screen. I doubt that your senders (2) are both bad. I think I'd hook a mechanical pressure gauge on this engine and do a truly honest pressure test. Our trucks use an on/off pressure sensor that comes on at 7lbs. If it is flickering, and say it is a good sender, then I'd definitely go mechanical for the check. A clogged screen would give you a bad reading with a warm/hot engine. Our factory O/P gauges are nothing more than over done idiot lights.

Just throwing out a couple ideas for you to follow.

Mechanical is the only true way to monitor oil pressure.
