Default help - lift kit question

Hello!

I need some advice for my truck

I have a 97 f150 4.2 (2wd) flareside and I'm planning on getting a Ro*gh Cou*try 3" lift kit

I've seen a lot of trucks lifted on 3" kits but one thing don't like after the lift is the fact that the front tires tend to stick out too wide, it doesn't look "flush" with the back tires, now I saw one on youtube and what he did was use 2" spacers for the rears to make it look even...

questions:

1. will this be a problem for me if I'm only gonna be running 16x8 with 265/70r16? (will the fronts still look wider than the rears?)

2. if I use 2" spacers on my rears won't it be the one sticking out? (with this setup - 16x8 with 265/70r16)

3. is it a must for me to purchase the steering stabilizers too? (from Ro*gh Co*ntry)

4. in most cases will I need alignment after the install?

5. say with the spacers in the rear will I still be able to tow our 16ft boat?

I really need to know the parts I need to get cause shipping is not cheap and also I don't want to buy parts that I will end up not using,

thank you in advance!

Yes a true suspension lift will push the front end out a little bit, not enough that you’ll have stance but it will definitely look more “truckish” with just a 3” lift you may not want to go the rear spacer route as probably only you will notice the width difference, but if you do you have to make sure that you either get hub centric spacers or get spacers with centering lug nuts and have wheels that will accept centering lugs. Stocks wheels are flat with no conical lug holes which means you will not be able to run the spacers.

Not enough to make a difference to worry about spacers

No steering stabilizer needed

Alignment isn’t mandatory as long as you get the uca in the same spot.

Thanks!

I'm a bit worried about the rears not having spacers cause flaresides tend to make the rear wheels look more "on the inside"

I'll be running ultra rogue 175-B 16x8 rims, are they spacer friendly? just in case I need to use spacers

are bora really good spacers? oh man they are pricey...

Stock bearings work if you don't want to replace

It might still work. Could run a spacer if you wanted
