Unhappy Help!! I'm desperate, 4x4 not working

Hello all, hate to beat a dead drum but I'm desperate, hunting season is around the corner here in Florida and I need my 4x4. I have a 2000 4x4 5.4L, I have tried everything that I know of. I've watched all the youtube videos and followed them to the T. I've replaced the actuator, both 2wd and 4wd solenoids, complete vacuum harness from solenoids to actuator, check reservoir for leaks, still not engaging. The actuator seems to move a little but not enough. I have all 4x4 lights, clicking, transfer case engages but nothing. Could this be something vacuum somewhere else? Defrost blows along with dash vents. I'm at a loss here fellas. Maybe bad parts? I've replaced both solenoids twice but from Autozone or O'Riellys. Actuator, I bought online.

Probably get more/better help if you stick to one thread. That way people know the history...

If no one has responded in a day, you can just type "bump" in your thread to bring it back up to the top. Forum etiquette says you don't bump a thread more than once a day.

Did you replace shift fork?
Theres little plastic pads on it that move the part that engages the passenger shaft

The plastic pads break off, then no 4x4 engage even when everything else works.

I deal with LKQ scrapyards....they are nationwide & have had very good luck with all/ any motors I have bought from them,,,,,They are also on E-Bay.......They list all engines available & for what price etc. Get a reliable shop to install it & you should be good to go!!
If you don'y fix it you will take a considerable bath....your choice & good luck!!

You are going to have to eat this one. Given that you have a platinum trim level, I would repair the motor and keep on humping. I am not a fan of the EcoBoost motors and prefer the 5.0. If that could be an option to replace it with a 5.0, that is what I would go for.
