I understand your situation with cash flow....
Does your truck have the HD cooling package? If you have an external cooler, you can bypass the radiator cooler with a hose, then plug off the holes in the radiator. This will prevent you from killing your transmission prematurely.
Bottom line is, you need a cooler though. If yours does not have one, you can get them at the wrecking yard... pretty decent sized coolers on the Super Duty's too.
