Default Help Identifying Hose

I blew this hose out last night. It connects to the cab beside the bypass hose but I dont know the name of the hose. Could some one identify the hose for me. The first picture is of my hose and the second picture is off the internet but it is the hose circled in red.

From the looks of the milky coolant on that truck the problems may go deeper than the hose.

That white in the blown out hose is where someone had already spliced the hose together with some PVC. The PVC failed finally and blew coolant everywhere.

PVC is not made for that kind of heat. I think the MAX heat you are supposed to throw at it is under 150 degrees (130-140, as I recall). Polyproplene is what you want, as it will handle well over 300 degrees.

I cut a 3 inch piece of copper pipe and put in there. The original splice from when I bought the truck was made of that cpvc

If you have transmission fluid leaking into your coolant, that needs to be taken care of ASAP. I would be afraid coolant would end up in the transmission.
