Help with cluster lighting and front lights!!!
1997 4.6L Vin W F150 4x4 "extended cab"
So here is my problem. My lights have been working fine for years, out of the blue though, my cluster gauge lighting got all messed up.
1.) The cluster won't light up but check engine, blinkers, etc. will still light.
2.) Blinkers work without the parking/ driving lights on. Turn the either setting of the lights on though, the external turn signals wont light up but they are both "on" according to the dash.
3.) When I turn the lights on, the cluster says that my high beams are on... They are not actually on.
4.) The fog lights are unresponsive.
5.) The dimmer lights won't activate when vehicle is on, even rolled into the "on" position. I have no light inside of the cab.
I do most of my driving at night, so i need to fix this asap.
Thanks guys!
Matt

Do you have a multimeter? Sounds like more then one issue is at hand. I know the drivers side cowl panel beside the brake pedal can get a lot of moisture inside and corrodes the wire harness. Visibly check the area for loose connections. Clean what you can, fix any rusty ground cables you find (two on my 97 in that area).
