Default Heater pisses me off!

I have been dealin with my heater issue for ever and I'm about sick of this damn truck!! I let it warm up all the way all the time then It won't get warm coming in the cab until I give it hell then it warms up and goes cold after I stop for about 5 mins and after a while of driving it sometimes stays warm for a little longer. Thought I had a bubble in the line but tried running it out and it helped for about a day.

You need to burp the system. Let your truck warm up. Let the thermostat open then carefully open the radiator cap and add coolant. This removes air that gets in the heater core and causes the heater to do that. Let us know what happens.

Make sure you have the heater on when you are trying to top off the system, if not it creates that air pocket and the heater will not operate properly.

It should be when it reaches operating temp. Once it stops in the middle, the thermostat will open up to make sure it doesnt go any higher than that.

The reservoir cap is the radiator cap. Pake sure it is full. Drive your truck across town with the heater on high then leave the truck running and very carefully open the reservoir cap just enough to let off pressure after all the pressure has bled off open it and add flcoolant if you need too. But make sure the heater is on the whole time.

If when you pull what?

If the reservoir cap isn't sealing it can cause air to be sucked down into the heater core and that will make it take forever to warm up then cool off and what not.
