2000 F150 triton Weak crank, no start.
Hey guys been a while. However, I am having trouble with a 2000 Triton not starting. Checked the battery and it is giving ample power for cranking. Checked the fuel pump and it seems to be in full working order. The engine wont start, and the crank (IMO) sounds pretty weak. Is it possible the starter is faulty? Any help would be absolutely appreciated as I am trying to get my sisters means to commute back in action.

Multimeter on the terminals. Got about 12.5V key turned over once...when cranking went to about 9. The wires coming from the terminals have corroded in the past, which required me to cut and reconnect them to the terminal clips. Is it possible the corrosion has worked its way into the insulation of the wires coming from the terminal clips?

The battery is only a few months old. However, I will try a different battery to see if it at least starts. Might take a video here too in the next day or so (weather is going to be bad here) to help with possible diagnosis.
Appreciate taking the time to reply guys.

Try charging it... Remember....... to properly check battery condition it should charge for 72 hrs @ a trickle then test!!
If you load test a low battery it will fail & that is why the shops SELL so many batteries + the real bad parts that probably made it not start!!
(I know we all don't have that kinda time)
Or even boosting with a known good battery system....@ least if it starts you can pretty much rule out connections & the starter.....
once started if you test battery voltage (engine running ) it should read 14.3 volts....again this is volts not amperage....Good Luck!!
