It really isn't bad. Just time consuming. I set a weekend aside so I wasn't rushed and did a couple of hours at a time.

Yea, dread doing that...2 reasons, -
1. Time consuming.
2. Locating a GOOD replacement core. Too much crap on the market here, it's a roll of the dice finding a good core. Who wants to do that job twice or again very soon.....

Tell me about it, got 13 months out of the replacement I bought. Dont get your heater core from Oreillys!
