Lightbulb Headlight Help

I have after market projector headlights with HID kits in them. because the HID bulbs take a few seconds to warm up and get bright. i was wandering if there is any way i could make the low beam headlights stay on when i turn my hi beams on

Give me your truck info and I will hook you up with a wiring diagram. Not sure if this is a good idea due to the amount of heat that would generate, could melt the housing or even the bulb, that is just me thinking, but if you are good with wiring you could do a relay or switch but would not want two power scources going at the same time.

I have a 2001 ford f150 extended cab. Im not to worried about melting my housing because i rarely use my high beams but when i do and i flip back to low beams it is very dark because the low beams need to warm up again. I have 2 different ballast, 1 for my low beam and 1 for my high beam.
