Has anyone done a 302 swap to a 97-03 F150 w/ a 5speed?

That I do. I like CAT's too but very few of them will fit into a pickup.

Zach, that is a truck an acquaintance from 4BTswaps sent me to give me a guide of when I get the money to swap the engine. Cummins B series engines bolt right up to 4.2 transmissions...just need to fab up some custom motor mounts and a body lift since your 4WD. A few months ago some guy was selling complete running panel vans with 4BT's in Colorado for $2000 a piece. The M5R2 can even handle a stage 1 fuel pin and turbo compressor upgrade.

4btswaps.com Several members of this forum are on their including me and we just bounce questions off others who have already done the swap.

The 4bt can be found in panel vans, generators (commercial grade), Case IH harvesters, boats, pumps.

A stock 4bt puts out 120 hp or so and about 350 lb-ft. A tuned one with about $1000 dropped into it, 250 hp and 500+ lb-ft. That is what a truck engine should be. Haha

Probably won't fit. Oh yea I might mention this, on pre-97 F-series Fordcummins.com has the bits and pieces you need to drop in a 12 valve 5.9...even on the halfs.

Too small. I don't want to read the posts about how the engine doesn't have enough power.
I think this would be better:
