Because you take away the slack eventually won't you end up stretching the cable so much that it will snap?

yes but that'll be awhile, just look now 120K + miles an it's got slack so another 100K possible after doing that? keep in mind this is more of a temporary fix till you get a new cable after awhile, should not be used as a permanent solution.

Ive done it and it made the throttle alot touchier and sensitive.

When you do this do you need to check the blade first or can you just put the zip ties on with looking?

yeah like I said, it's cheap to replace. but for those who don't feel like replacing it an just want a temp fix it's perfect

A wise ol' man once told me if your not gonna do it right, then why do it at all. That came from a Factory Master Technician, who was certified by 8 different manufacturer's. Now I am Certfied Diesel Technician along with a Mold maker.. So the word "cheap" does not fit into my vocabulary.

Yep. The zip ties are just spacer to compensate for a stretched cable. But I took a plastic tube like piece An cut a slit for the cable to slip in then zip tied it.
