So I stumbled upon this video while being bored and I dont know if anyone has tried it or even what to think of it?

I have done it on my last car, 98 5.0 mercury mountaineer. It is basically an explorer. And it felt like it was an improvement on the throttle response

I can't help but to think that it was made that way for a reason though?

it was made to go horizontal like at the end of the video, what he said during the video is that it gets stretched an doesn't open as much. like his was about 25% like in the beginning.

I'll have to look into it, all it is is the cable being stretched correct? putting the zip ties just moves it some more so it pulls it open more rightv

I've done it makes the pedal more sensitive I had like 1/2 inch of slack

I used lead fishing weights on mine, I couldn't tell much of a difference except it raised the pedal up a bit
