Default Green grease

About to lube up the steering linkage and ball joints on my son’s 2001 F150. Can I use green grease? Thanks.

Chassis grease is forgiving
Just about anything works
The old thick green railroad grease is fine
Had an old boy at the dealer who swore by it, used it for years on everything including wheel bearings

Is that the same stuff as Lubegard's Assemblee Goo for a trans?

Any grease is better than no grease.... I usually hit things with Marine blue wheel bearing grease because that's what's in my grease gun.95% of time... Unless something calls specifically for extreme pressure moly... Then I might consider going through the hassle to change to that

We had to use Amsoil in sub zero. It was the only stuff that didn't freeze over night...... Hey, it kept the crews working.

Lubegard has a light tack (blue) and firm tack (green). They use those colors so it doesn't make you mistake it for ATF when looking for leaks.
