That thing would be really underpowered with a 4.2 heck a 5.4 would be a little sluggish with that set up

I wouldn't do it. Heads uo, if your serious about it. Do a car faqs report and or take it to a shop to have it looked at. 4.2 in an F150 imo is a bad idea. 4.2+ bigger than stock tires = way less power than any jeep. Question here is. What is this guy asking for the truck. If its only like $1200 then you know either something is up. Or its a salvage and that's why it has the body work. Either way we need more info on why you chose this vehicle to give better opinions. Imo

Hey man, some advice for you. I went from an inifniti and a 300zx to an f150. Never owned a truck before the one I had now... it took me over a year of searching to find it. Go for a v8, if you can a 5.4 but have the suspension system checked over completely, especially if its lifted. Try looking for a moderate 3 to 5 inch because a 7 inch lift like the truck you were looking at is really tall and if the gearing was off while the guy had it, you could be looking at problems. Just take your time in searching man.

I agree finding the perfect truck is a long quest but easier then finding the right woman. And when you have a problem you can let some other guy in a shop fix it. Unlike women again jk lmao
