Lightbulb Gauge face problem

Recently, I got a high-trim instrument cluster for my 1998 XL. Unfortunately, I had to butcher the OE one for its odometer worm gear (the build quality was lacking so I had to practically tear it apart) after I sacrificed the "new" one's worm gear trying to maintain my morality and roll up the odometer to match.

To the left, the sucky OE cluster, without a tachometer. To the right, the less sucky cluster I pulled out of a wasp-infested scrapheap in the middle of Arkansas.

The new one isn't entirely perfect. The speedometer doesn't start reading until ~5mph for some reason, which I can live with. However, the gauge face is unfortunately pretty scuffed up, and it's making me scratch my eyes out. I ultimately chose to buy it because the nice man gave it to me for $20, and because I wanted a tachometer more than anything else.

It's hard to notice in the photo, but the symbols are somehow scratched up or faded. I have no clue how that happened. I looked around on the internet™ for a good aftermarket one, and all I found were pretty corny-looking white ones that would make it look like a damn Dodge Stratus frankly.

Does anybody have a decent recommendation for an aftermarket gauge face? Is there a magical surplus of unused factory ones laying around? Does anybody have experience making custom ones?
