gasket cover leak

Default gasket cover leak

my gasket oil pan is leaking according to the dealers. there is no actual dripping of the oil but there is indeed a crack. can i do any long distance traveling in this condition?

A crack in the gasket? Or the oil pan? If there is damage to the gasket and it is not leaking oil then I think you should be fine, just keep an eye on the oil level and pressure just in case it does leak. If the pan is cracked, I wouldn't take the chance of going too far from home.

I agree with Dewman. Your post is a little confusing. Is it leaking or not? Is it the pan or the gasket that is cracked?
