2003 Super Crew mirrors
Hello all,
I'm hoping to get some help in finding a replacement mirror for my 2003 Super Crew. First thing I did was go to the junkyard and get some Chrome capped ones off a 2001 SuperCrew, only to find out that the bolt patterns are different. They are off by a good half an inch, and plastic dont matchup at all.
So I went to carparts.com and verify the part using my VIN, even spoke to a specialist to make sure it's the right part (fd40er) but when it came in, is the exact same as the 2001 bolt pattern.
I spoke to someone at Ford.com and they said mine was a heritage edition when they ran the vin. It does not have heritage badging or leather interior, so I don't think it's a heritage. It's also just pure black, not a two-tone like I've seen every other heritage. They gave part number 1L3Z17682AAA, but when you tape that in, it looks like I'm getting the same FD40ER.FD40E
I've seen a few posts talking about putting an '07 expedition mirror on, but it seems like that might have the same bolt pattern. I'm going to head to the junkyard in the a.m. to see what I can find. My local junkyard says they have one 07 exp, hoping the mirrors are still there.
I'm also looking at some tow mirrors from americantruck.com (https://www.americantrucks.com/f150-towing-mirror-twm-002-t111-bk.html) but again I'm just not sure they'll fit the truck like how the other three haven't.
Does anyone have any suggested part numbers for a 2003 SuperCrew passenger side mirror? Any thought as well to see if this is actually some hidden heritage edition?
