FX4 with 3.31 gears?

FX4 with 3.31 gears?
I always thought that a 4x4, FX4, 5.4l, with a tow package had atleast 3.55LS gears. I just put in a new evo edge and was looking at the custom options, and in the regearing option it states the stock gears are 3.31. Is this right? Previous owner had the rockers replaced and the bottom of the door tag has overspray on it and I can't see the axle code.
How would I find out for sure?

Tag on the axle might tell you.

At the top of the website now there is a tech tools header. Go into that and there is a VIN decoder. From there its plug and play.
