Default Fuel Pressure

The fuel pressure should be between 30 to 40 psi. It should also be steady and not bouncing around.

I havn't changed my filter yet because I'm still getting good pressure. I was just wondering how much I could bump up the pressure to get the most HP out of the engine. I know that I was talking to a buddy that had an '85 Corvette that bumped it up to 44 psi. He said that he gained about 7-8 HP and 1-2 MPG. It might just be a the peak from the factory I was just couious.

I wouldnt recomend doing it but you could unplug the vacuum line at the fuel pressure regulator. Those systems are sesigned to run at a certain pressure, altering that will prob lead to problems

leave the pressure and vac line as is, dont bother tweaking them, it wont do you any good. Remember, you are comparing two vehicles that are about 17 years in technology apart.
