fuel odor from exhaust
I have a 2003 f150 4.6L crew cab. I recently replaced the motor with a rebuild. Currently, im experiencing a random check engine light that turns off and comes on every 200 miles. I do not have the codes in front of me but they always come back to bank 2 in one code or another.
I smell fuel from the exhaust at start and after it is warm, and I am getting poor fuel efficiency. The spark plugs are new, coils are new, injectors are new. The truck runs great but it doesn't seem to have the power it should have even for this motor with the truck weight.
My buddy says to replace the O2 sensors. but to me those are tools that just digest information, they aren't intended to control anything--and replacing them to start doesn't seem like a fix for the issues.
What do I do? im not even a novice level mechanic so please bear with me.

You need to check the fuel trims with a scanner that can show live data. The upstream O2's is what the PCM uses to adjust fuel ratio's etc, so they are very important.
