Got it changed out. I used the blue tool...it wasn't the best thing to use as it would warp when force was applied. I would recommend a metal tool.

Sounds like operator error. Tool is inserted to expand the garter spring, then the line only is pulled of off the filters snout. Tool stays with filter.

Thing one.. use wix.. thing two.. use a level surface or youll lose alittle gas. i got my cap remover from autozone. the PITA to use plastic one is $10 i think and they also have a spiffy aluminum kit for $20.. i got the pita one cuz i dont mind getting dirty to save a few bucks lol.

Thing one - this thread is 3 years old. He's probably replaced the filter a couple times.

Thing two - some of these people don't own their F150's anymore.

Dates are shown on threads. For future reference.
