Default Front shocks for 3" lift and cranked bars

I have a 4" lift and torsionbars are cranked up and I am looking for some good front shocks. I checked rock auto and they have a shock that "looks" like it will work on the front of my FX4. only thing is I want to put a coil-over shock set on the front. do any of you think this will fit? if not what do you think would possibly go wrong with me making a bracket and riggin' it up?

your post is a tad confusing...maybe its just me.

you have a 97-03 with the torsion bar set up. you've cranked your T bar and have a 4" suspension lift correct?

them sensa shocks seem like they are for the 2wd f150 (coil over suspension) I could be wrong. I wasn't able to find those shocks for a 4x4 just now.

now you have a lift and t bars cranked but you want to change your whole front end to coil over? that's a ton off work brotha! lift will have to go, T-bars will have to be pulled, custom brackets...just making sure im following you.

If you have torsion bars then coil overs would be useless, if you want a coilover front end bust out the credit card and head over to Dixon bros racing, pick me up a kit while you're there :p

No these shocks are for the back but I was wondering if there would be any advantage to having them on the front since they actually fit in place of my front shocks.

they make front and rear shocks for a reason dude!

rear shocks are different length and would probably be stiffer than fronts.

Go to Rancho and get the correct shocks for your amount of lift. Easy to do!

I know and I found replacements but the reason I ask is because I know rear shocks are so much more stiff, I was wondering if there was even a slight possibility that someone could just run really stiff front shocks and lost the torsion bars. like I said just a thought tho.

you can find stiff shocks for the fronts. rear shocks are going to be a different length as well as stiffer.

you cant run a truck with only shocks and no spring, whether its torsion bars or coils. the truck would not sit right at all, you would be sitting on the ground. the springs are what give the truck height, shocks only control spring oscillations. however i like to believe weak shocks can cause a slight sag.

ok thanks. my next question is. what years and models if any are 4x4 and have a front coil suspension? I'm just doing some research. kinda getting into doing my own fabrication.
