Default front end work

I just purchased some new tires and the shop informed me that i needed to replace the Idler arm and Lower Balljoints

Is there any guys that perform these tasks on their own? Or do y'all suggest to have the shop do it. I trust the shop to do it because I use to work there but I need to save as much money as possible

You use to work at the shop? I take it you weren't a mechanic there?

I'd tackle that job myself all day. Lots of us on here would as well.

Yea, even if you aren't savvy there's plenty of info online to do the job yourself. Search you tube, - I'm sure A1 has some how to's on it. Might even be write-ups here.

Tools, - Auto zone still has the free loaner program, so if you have just usual tools all you have to do is get what you don't have on loan.

You can do it, - specially if you really need to save some cash, just research, it's already out there.
