its not really that hard of a job to do...... since you are gonna hire somebody to do it , id go ahead and mark the new one and old one and get them cut and ready , and you could even clamp the new one onto your truck and get it all lined up , that way the welder wont be there long and wont charge you so much

Is the subframe held on with spot welds?

It's a big pain but he could drill out the spot welds put the new one in place and plug weld the drilled holes .

with little experience it might not be the best idea.It would be alot easier to cut it.

You're going to need to get the inner fender support "roughed out" before you cut anything. Cutting off at that line and then trying to weld on a straight piece is going to cause you grief, you can see damage further up toward the fire wall. Try taping a flat sheet of paper to a crumpled piece of paper, you're not going to end up with a flat sheet. Best bet for you is to let a qualified shop pull the front end to factory spec and let them change out the rad support and inner fender. You'll then have a square platform to start hanging parts from.
