My truck won't run!
Where to start....
My truck just got a new coil and plug on Cyl #1 about nine weeks ago. Ran fine afterwards. Then one day, on the way to work...as I turned a sharp corner at an intersection, the truck just shut down....I was able to start it again....all gauges looked fine. It ran just fine for another couple of weeks. THEN, on a road trip, it konked-out completely....as if the engine froze. It was NOT running hot, and again all gauges looked fine. Had to have the truck towed home. Now all the ideas are pouring in that I (a) need a new truck...(b) need a new engine...(c) broken timing chain...(d) remove all coils and plugs and check for vapor lock.....
I am definitely NOT a mechanic. I have several friends who know a lot more than me including a mechanic friend.
What diagnostic checks can be made, for reasonable $$, without jumping onto a new vehicle or engine???? Desperate in Brandon, Mississippi!!! Can't afford car payments right now. Can somebody offer some good suggestions?

Kinda sounds like a fuel pump go into the truck leave the door open and turn the key to acc not start and listen for the whine from the fuel pump. No whining then you need a pump.

Try and spray starting fluid into card if it starts and then shuts off it's the pump. I have two mech buddies and my wife's Durango (which I will NEVER buy another dodge) fuel pump went out and that's what he told me to do to check seeing that they are 40mi away.
