I get bored sometimes and cruise CR and eBay for deals and am really digging that one! Probably will just find an 2v core to start with or a lightning short block that doesn't have cracked pistons. Where you headed?

Stick with motorcraft stuff as far as timing chaing, gears and tensioners. Cost a little more but will last a hell of a lot longer than anything you can buy. I went with Cloyes timing components when I put the PI heads on and @ 80k the tensionser were starting to make noise. My 4v navi has 149k on factory timing components. My grandoarents 03 FX4 have 273k on factory timing components.

Funny you say that, I was looking today and where do you find Motorcraft timing chain? I was actually just looking on eBay. You have a kit number? I usually do buy everything Motorcraft. I bought new Motorcraft water pump and iac. Even though a lot of Motorcraft is made in China, I'm sure it's held to a higher standard.

Ford dealership lol

Ill probably give cloyes a call this week and order from them depending on price. I wouldnt hesitate going to mmr but they have high prices for some stuff. Thats where I got all my rotating assembly.

Yeah I just placed an order from MMR. They have the Motorcraft kit on sale right now. I don't know why I didn't look earlier when I ordered my oil pump. Oh well. Most the time a ford dealer is higher and you can find better deals on Motorcraft parts online.

This swap won't be that bad. Only thing that has me wondering is the cop reversal and the injectors?
