Default HID Headlights and Fog Lights

I have an 03 f150 and the stock lights are horrible. I want some HID headlights and fog lights that are pretty bright. I was wondering if someone could recommend a brand and whether 6k or 8k would be better?

Thanks.

You will hear a lot that putting HID bulbs in your stock housing will cause a bunch of glare for on coming traffic. This is very true, but people still do it. I would suggest a projector retrofit in the heads. There is a guy in Ligjtningrodder.com that does them for a pretty good price.

BTW the lower the K rating the brighter they are. Most factory HIDs are 4100-4300. So if go with something close to that if you do go with HID bulbs in your stock housings. Which although I have done in the past I suggest against. Now that I have projectors the light output is much better and no issues with blinding on coming traffic.

When I had my OEM head/fog lights I had DDMTuning HID's 4,300K (came with the truck when I bought it) and never once got flashed from on coming traffic and yes they were plenty bright.

what color is it? Color makes a difference if you want black surrounds I think it'd look best on a dark color.

Retrofits. Nobody makes decent projectors for these trucks, so retrofitting in lightning or Harley lights are the way to go if you want quality HID projector lighting for a 97-03

Depends on if you're wanting a blacked out or chrome look

Sylvania made a 100% 50 state legal hid headlight for these trucks. There called Xenarcs, very hard to find but are great lights. I owned two sets.
