We used to salt our roads also and had terrible rust back in the 70's and early 80's. We don't have that problem anymore. You will find the 88 and up Chevy's rusting pretty bad, and some of our model trucks rusting, but anymore, no. They've gone to a liquid that seems to be cheaper and works better. We'll see, but at least we don't have the problems we had back then.

We more than get our share of snow, Anchorage AK area, so I can sympathize with you. lol. If you looked at my front pictures, only the damn bumper bar braces have rust on them. Nothing else on this truck has any rust. It's weird how the bars, front and rear are the only place to show any rust. Must be the swirl effect of the wind and road crap that chips the paint and causes the rust. I don't know what else it could be, except cheap metal. Nah. Not on an American vehicle. lol

Check that second wire loom and see if it is tucked inside the horn a bit. If not, then, I'm sorry to tell you, but it isn't there, and you will have to make up a quick harness to make things work. Hope this helps
Akdoggie thanks for your help on this, it was more involved than I thought but as usual cheaper than paying a pro. I am painfully obviously a novice, if I can do it myself I do. Can u provide me a step by step, photo's for dummies, resource to install a harness? Thanks again.

Try this and see if this fits your use. It should work perfectly for you. It may say Toyota but it is basically universal. Power, ground, etc.

You can also use this. It is more simplified and says HID, but it is the same for regular bulbs. Good luck.

That is what this thread is all about. You have to look under your front bumper where we have shown and see if the harness is there. If you have a bumper without the holes for the fogs, it is doubtful. Otherwise it is a tossup.

None of the trucks without fog lights from the factory come with the correct headlight switch. You have to install the one with the small fog symbol off to the upper right of the rotary ****.

Just look at the extreme right of your front bumper, look underneath, find the horns, then look at the hole in the front core support. It will have at least 2 wire harness come out. The one with the "Y" making it three wires is the harness you need. If you don't have the "Y", then you will need to install a fog light harness of your own or aftermarket.

Just curiosity, does your serial number start with a 2 or a 1? I'm thinking the Canadian models (2) have the harnesses, and US (1), maybe not? Just a thought.
