Default Fog Light Mod

I have seen everyone posting about rewiring the switch to make the fog lights work with the parking lights. All of the links posted on here are confusing as heck. So my question is, plain and simple, how the hell do you do this? I want the fog lights to be on with the park lights as well as the low beams (high beams only if it has to be that way). I would love pictures and such to make this as simple as possible. I do not want to have to cut apart the switch but simply rewire.

sorry if this isnt much help, but i never could figure it out either. the way i interpreted it, you cut the yellow fog light wire and splice it in with the brown parking lights wire. it made my fog lights come on constantly with the parking lights and high beams, and couldnt be turned on with low beams. maybe i just misunderstood the wiring, but a seperate power source and switch seemes like the only way to have the option to turn my fogs on and off when i wanted, instead of being forced to have them on with parking lights and high beams.

i ended up buying aftermarket projector fogs and wiring them to a seperate switch. theyre almost as bright as my headlights, and i changed the halos to amber to match my parking lights. i couldnt be happier with them.

In order to have your fog lights on with just your parking lights, you have to take the switch part and grind part of it away. Its not just splicing wires.

do you grind the little tab so you can pull the switch out for fogs when it is in the parking light position?

you will have to look closely but right between parking lights and head lights, there is a little ramp that turns your fogs off when you turn your headlights off. You will need to take a dremel or something of the sort, and grind part of that ramp away so you can turn you fogs on with your parking lights. Hope this helps ya out.

so by grinding off the ramp you eliminate the need to redo any wiring? and by doing this it allows the fog lights to be run with the park lights right?

you will still need to splice two wires together, because the head light is what powers the fogs and without the heads being on the fogs have no power. so you will still need to do some wiring. you will need to connect a wire between the white w/ black stripe wire (comes out of the small gray plug) and the brown wire (comes out of the larger gray plug). This will give the fogs power when the heads are off, and it will also keep the fogs one with your highbeams.

Ok so if I'm following you correctly, you have to remove the ramp from the switch which allows you to select when the fog light turns on and off then you also have to splice "the white w/ black stripe wire (comes out of the small gray plug) and the brown wire (comes out of the larger gray plug)" to provide power to the fog lights when you pull the switch out no matter the position there by allowing to fog lights to be tuned on and off in both the park and headlight positions.
