I got a pair from my bud an didn't come with any, these are just the factory fogs but hey they were free an I didn't have any before. is it just an all thread bolt with a lock nut on the end just a guess. i need to know what they are so I can run to ace an pick some up an hopefully mount them today! thanks for any help

Yours are the ones that fit into the valence, right? I just got a '97-'98 bumper off an Expedition, which for these years, has the fogs in the bumper - and I lucked out that the assemblies are in place...In the bumper, and not the valence. There are brackets mounted to the bumper for those lights, or the plastic filler panel, to use nuts to keep in place. Does that valence of yours have those, or any tabs with mounting holes there? Or is/was there a bracket (or holes pre-drilled) for a mount on the bumper, just above the fog location?

yes they fit into the valance, the bumper has pre-drilled holes in the bumper that the fog light bracket lines up with, I just need to know what bolts/nuts that are used to go through the bumper into the fog bracket.

Hmmm - don't know what the factory uses, but in my case, I just use what fits - from a nut, bolt and washer assortment in my tool box. They're not galvanized, so I just coated them with silicon sealant to rustproof them. I wish I had the real factory service manual, and not some cheap CD or Haynes manual, that would have had the actual description and part #. Check out Rockauto.com. Maybe the exact description/size/part # is there?

Again, use what fits, and don't forget the sealant - until you stumble on the real ones. At least you'll be able to enjoy those fogs! Another suggestion, which is a crap shoot - is a trip to a local salvage yard - most of the time, the parts are broken off, or wrecked, leaving the original mounting hardware in place. Pull those off, and match if possible. Don't laugh, but I did that for my '95 Seville. Quirky body bolts - and I got plenty (some were thrown into the interior of the car), and total cost for about 50 nuts and bolts for that car.... $1.00.

Odds and ends I don't think they care about, price wise. Handful of junk to them. Even $2 would be a bargain. Lady at checkout was glad that I didn't just try to walk out with them. So, you may find those factory bolts there, even if the bumper and valence are gone. Could be right on the ground near the truck, or in the cab!
