fast right turn signal
here is an interesting issue, so on my recently bought 2004 heritage it was upgraded with after market LED rear lights. all of the lights work fine and the left flashes at a normal rate but the right ones goes like a bat out of hell. I was looking at after market LED upgrades and there was mention that you need a special flasher control to prevent that from happening? the front lights look like the stock amber. I was under the dash and there appears to be a control unit box zip tied with 4 relays. Would this be what I need to look at and is a relay bad? what a PITA getting up under there.
I should also add the truck has a remote start so maybe that box and relays are for that?
thanks

those don’t look like flasher relay and you should only need 1 .. i believe it’s a EP27or 25 cant remember. hyper flash only on one side may mean a burnt bulb.. check the front bulb

Thanks, and i got to thinking that is probably for the remote start. I'm gonna check the front bulb and swap with left to see if that changes anything and found a thread where the actual relay is located up under dash so may have to check that as well.

I’m gonna turn the lights on and check all the LEDs but I was pretty sure they were all working but there’s a lot in there thanks for the tip ! Hoping in LED is not out that would suck

If you have hyperflash with led's then you do need to swap to the EP27L or the later flasher. Napa sells a hyperflash flasher which seems to work as one of the best, but I can't remember the number, but the one listed above works just fine.
You are right on where the flasher is. Just to the right of your right knee behind the panel.

Thanks I'll get one. I did check all the led's as kd4gij said one may be out but they all work. Also swapped out a another incandescent bulb on front to make sure that wasn't issue and didn't change anything. So flasher was my next guess. And I love how ford designed the headlamps and marker lamps to change bulbs. Never had a vehicle that easy!

This flasher will work, but will cycle faster than stock (about 90Hz instead of 60Hz).
The unit can be modded with a capacitor to slow it down if desired.

Here's a video comparison I did when I installed the EP 27 in my Mustang.
I now have a 2.2uF cap installed, which bright the rate down just a little bit more. I plan to post a new video including that when I get the time.
