Default Fan speed 3 same as 2

Has anyone else had a problem where fan speed 3 on the HVAC controls is the same as fan speed 2? Could this be a switch problem? I dont think it would be a resistor because then it wouldnt be working at all on that fan speed. If anyone knows the cause of this I would appreciate the help!

Two screws, it's comes out. Put a little electrical contact grease on it and your good to go. Just be careful putting it in. Don't bang up the new coils too much.

Well I put in my blower motor resistor and it didn't fix the problem, still thinking it might be the switch, any more ideas?

I'll provide feedback.

condition - blower motor fan speed same on 2 and 3 position, 1 and 4 working

2007 F150 265,000 miles

Blower motor replaced and resistor replaced - 2 and 3 still same speed
then
fan switch replaced - 1 2 3 4 speeds fixed and work correctly

Pull off panel
lift tab on 4 prong wire connector, remove
pull off front ****
push down 3 locking tabs on old part back side
push in new selector
push on wire connector
put panel back
put back on ****

Part purchased on Amazon $19.99 + tax
Amazon Amazon

looks like this
