That will look nice. However, i would not have done the skid plate black. I kept mine the steel color instead of painting it, and even though i slapped clear coat on the skid plate, it still has dings and marks just from driving on the road. So don't be surprised if that black takes some marks that do not come off

Yea i was debating on leaving it bare steel but everything else is murdered out so i figured id do the same. If it doesnt look good or takes to much damage ill go back to the bare steel. Im not that worried about it though, I just don't want the first bug I hit to chip the paint. Im in the woods and trails all the time so im sure it will take some damage and chip.

Anyone know a good clear coat to use that will give good protection. I want to keep the flat black look so id prefer a matte clear or something that wont make it glossy.

Where did you find yours at?? They are a rare find, im pretty sure fabtech quit making them for our rigs. If not, no one is selling theirs, took me a while to find anything pre-runner style. The guy I bought it off of had a fabtech 7.5" long travel system for a 2wd. I never thought id say it but for the price he shot me on the lift, I almost wish I had a 2wd.

I just used the regular clear enamel clear coat which made the bare steel a more gray color anyways. But yeah im doing a white/black combo and i originally was gonna paint it black like you but changed my mind. The black on my bumper has taken lots of rock chips and stuff so you might have to change it back to steel. Just wanted to give you heads up though

Yea, im going to try it out and see how it holds up. You know where I could get some of the extended front fenders by chance?? Going for the pre-runner look on a 4wd. If all goes well im going to try and get a long travel system around tax time too, they are just so damn expensive!

i had some fender's custom made but i do not have the funds right now for bigger tires otherwise i would add them on. Yeah long travel kits are rare and the dixon bros have one but it's almost $7000 last time i checked for install and everything. HAHA screw that. I'm running a 3inch fabtech lift with 33inch tires (wishing i had 35's), and a custom built bumper/fender's. This setup has worked for me and i have gone around 50mph in the desert a few times over bumps and stuff and it has held up fine

Nice! Do you have the bed flares too or just the front fenders? Im iffy on the bed, don't know how its going to look. Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

I just have front's sitting in my garage. Once i get 35's i will put them on. I didn't get bed's only because i didn't like the look of them but its all a matter of personal preference. My truck is a 4WD which has come in handy a few times in the desert.. I see your truck is a 4wd too which is always nice to have in your back pocket

I Also really like the blacked out look of your truck, the bumper will look sick on it. If you want some blacked out off road lights the ones i have are the hella black magic lights which are that style and i like them a lot

Come tax time I'll be stuffing 36's or 37's on Dixon Bro setup with Sway a Away coil overs.
