Default F250LD suspension lift q's

Finally getting to the idea of lifting my '97 F250-LD. I know I can crank the factory torsion bars to level it and clear the 33"s I want w/o any issues. But, I like the raked look and am thinking of doing a small lift with a torsion key set and blocks or shackles in the rear. My questions are:

Will a shackle kit work on the 250 if it's made for the 150 or is there any actual difference?

Which is better, the blocks or shackles?

Are torsion keys worth adding to a 1-2 lift in the rear?

Keep in mind my front end doesn't measure out evenly from fender to wheel center and I'm not sure just how much I can get out of the factory keys, let-alone the magical 24 1/4 I want. IIRC I'm measuring 21 1/14 on the right and 22 on the left.

Finally, I found this kit on eBay, is it worth a squat or should I look for something else? Would it even work on my truck?

Don't waste your money with torsion keys. That magical number is magical for a reason. You can reach it with stock keys and anything more is bad to your truck (lift keys). If you want a lift and u obviously don't want much, get the rcx 4" or a 2-3" body lift. With rcx you'll need new wheels but sounds to me like a body lift would be the best route for what you're looking for.

Crank your torsion keys all the way and see if you can get it to 24 1/4" first. If not then do the aftermarket torsion keys. Mine measures at almost exactly 24 1/4", But i wouldn't go any higher than that. When it comes to the shackles I have no experience with those, but if It were me I'd replace the stock 2" block with a 3" block.

You measure from the fenderwell to the top or bottom of the hub?

From the fender well to as best as I could judge to be the center of my center caps. I have aftermarket wheels so to the top or bottom wouldn't be an accurate measurement for anyone with stock or other aftermarket wheels

I've pretty much decided against the aftermarket keys after a little more reading on other posts. Curious to see if I can get to 24" or not. My only thing with shackles is whether or not they'll interfere with the factory airbag leveling system. I noticed on my factory blocks there's some pads or something stacked on top between them and the leaf spring. I'm guessing that stays intact and I just go 1-2" larger than the factory blocks?

You can fit 33s with no problem I'm been running them for years. I'm going up to 35 this week with no lift and just a little crank

I know I can but I have the means to do it and want just a little more than leveling it out. I already have wider offset wheels and when the 33's go on I think a little rake will give it the perfect stance

Toss in an extra leaf. Problem solved
