So is the door tag not accurate? My door tag says 6000 lbs. I'll have to look at my title when I get home. This has my curiosity piqued.

Lightning brakes are heavier, -not sure if it's mentioned yet, haven't seen it but they compare to the F250 brakes.

Regardless, a lightning swap or blower addition (roots blower only), I don't think I'd be chasing lightnings down to race. I 'd rather hook up to 5000 lbs for a cheap thrill. Granted, the on ramps would be fun as well. But a roots system helps a ton with towing..it would be a fricken hauling animal snort snort snort.

The 4r100 is quite a bit heavier than the 4r70. Also, I've heard lightnings have added bracing in the frame and other areas. With all thy considered, I've taken my supercab across a scale and I'm right at 6k. Including me, tools and other things I carry I'm guessing 5-700 lbs payload. There's no way a stock 4x4 supercab weighs 4600, these old trucks are heavy.

Also, the NA 5four is almost exactly 100 lbs heavier than the NA 4six. I'm not sure how much the lightning engine weighs. Most likely a tad heavier.

Not sure what this is about, but it seems like everyone who has done this disappears soon after.

Probably just a mission accomplished sort of deal I expect...on to the next fun thing.

Lol this is so true..... Maybe there's a group of die hard SVT guys that think it's taboo for a 4x4 to have their blower on a truck it didn't come factory on, and they ****** them up and forbid them from ever telling anyone about it.

Your probably right there lol. Jealous because they only have 2wd would be more like it lol. I know I would much rather have a 4wd lightning vs a 2wd.

Now to find a lightning I can pillage from hehe.
