no, its a good observation..
--
It HAS been sitting for a while 2 years...
the new 5.4 is fresh tho, about 3 weeks without a start..
---
and I did change the fuel filter, made sure fuel was pumping thru too..
No change..
----
I also made sure I had spark in all 8 plugs (I do)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you had two year old gas being sucked into the motor you may have clogged your injectors. You might have gas being delivered to the fuel rail at the proper pressure and flow, but do you have a good spray coming from all the injectors? It really sounds like you have poor gas delivery to the cylinders.

poor gas delivery to the cylinders
thats what Im thinking also.. in a few cylinders..
I might drop the tank clean it out an pump some fresh fuel.. im getting a lot of fuel sits on water posts..
wish this would solve it.. cant think of anything else that would be an easy fix...

update: FIXED!!
Check your grounds coming from your firewall.. the 2002 uses a plastic intake manifold MAKE SURE its on front bolt near the alternator.. I also replaced plugs, wires, and a coil pack to eliminate any other possablity.. Good Luck
