Default F-250 suspension in a F-150

I have a 97 F-150 supercab and my suspension is starting to get a little soft, I have been playing with the idea of putting 3/4 ton leafs, shocks and spring in my truck to give it better ride height and to keep it from sagging when I'm towing. Has anybody done this setup before and can it be done? And does it lift the truck and how much higher will it sit?

My buddy put 3/4 ton leafs in his 97 f150 after he snapped his original leafs. It didnt sit to much higher than stock. And it was actually cheaper that buying stock ones.

As far as i know it was just a straight forward bolt on, but i could be wrong. If he still had the truck id get some pics for you guys but he sold it for a superduty.

You should ask him if it was a straight forward bolt on

That will have to wait till i see him at school monday. Or you could put a set of 7700 leafs in the back.

No this is not a direct bolt in unless you go 250LD or 7700...

The springs are a different all around... Width, length and center...

F250 rear springs were 3" wide from 1980 to present... And before that either 2.25" or 3" depending on year and package...

The center pin is also in a different location relative to the spring eyes... As well as the length of the springs being different...

Zackstack, how wide are your springs?
