Default f 150 chrome rear bumper

have a 97 f150 xlt with a chrome bumper that is rusting and flaking.
any suggestion on getting it to look presentable, maybe painting or some kind of bolt on cover.
its twenty year old so not looking to spend big money to get it looking good. thanks

Cheapest option (and people will argue lol) Hit it with 5 coats of plasti dip.... if you want to keep the chrome.... find a good one at a junkyard.

yes if the plasti dip sounds like the way to go instead of paint. It looks like i can just peel it off if it not working out.

Yes I did both bumpers a while back to see if I liked the black. It actually held up great for 3years until I peeled it off. No regrets
