Extra Battery install.... A guide, sort of!
#24
Very nice... are those the smaller optima's?
I had a hell of a time fitting mine in there. I also wanted to keep my washer fluid tank, so that was.. well most of the write up
Dual 1000CA interestate's with extra starter relay (so I am never without cranking power). These are fairly large and heavy batteries (both together are over 100lbs) so it was a very very tight fit and took pretty heavy duty angle iron to weld them in place. (bolted the angle to the factory bolt locations)

No regular size just pushed really close together. All the stuff behind the batteries was removed on mine because I don't have a transaxle anymore no need for vacuum lines so I moved it closer to the firewall and left the windshield wash alone. Also a 3 inch body lift so it looks funny and all 0 gauge wire for me lol

Just asking if you upgraded the wiring on;
Alt to battery,
Alt to block (or wherever your ground is)
Block to battery
Starter relay and solenoid to battery
My alt is a 180 amp, but my batteries aren't ran in parallel, they are completely separate until the ignition is turned over (for starting)
