Extending Fender Liners Like Ford Should Have

I bet you could use Performance Accessories front gap guards with a little trimming to make the engine gap disappear.

Would they be better than trying to fab with these spare liners I have? I don't know. As for the gaps from the existing liners to the frame, I don't know of anything available, stock or aftermarket, that's made for this. Do you have any links, by chance? Thanks.I haven't seen any along the shoulder lately, but even so, I'm thinking they may be too thick, and might not be big enough. There are no truck stops nearby (both are an hour+ from my house), but if I happen to be in the area of one or the other, maybe I'll take a look-see.

On the other hand, they'd probably look (and function?) better than a DIY solution. That looks like just the right stuff. 24" will come up a little short if following the contours of the liner, but
cut in two would work.I'd be interested in a pic or two, as well as the part numbers if you have a chance (although I'm sure they're long out of production at this point). Any ideas what years/models these were installed on? I've never seen them.

DONE!
For the price (free), I think they look pretty good, and they'll definitely do the job. Since the left and right liners are slightly different, the passenger extension doesn't go all the way in to the frame, but it will still protect the fogs and the back side of the bumper (as well as my new Hurricane horn). If I was to do it again, I'd trim the piece that fills the gap between the bumper and the headlight surround, and cut the liner so it fills in the small "hole" you see there on the driver's side. It doesn't look bad as-is, but I might make a small filler piece like I did to cover up an oops on the other side.
All in all, I'm happy with the results.
PASSENGER SIDE
DRIVER'S SIDE
The gap isn't too bad when you're not looking straight at it.
About 1/4" clearance for the tire at full lock. I might have to massage it with some heat when I get new tires. EDIT: When backing up at full lock, the driver's side tire *just* kisses the new piece. I'll probably take a heat gun to it at some point.
If anyone decides to do this, all I can say is measure three times, cut conservatively, then test fit and cut some more. There's no way to provide a pattern or instructions for cutting these out other than to say I used the left liner on the right, and vice-versa. I also used a longer/bigger bolt to attach the front edge to the valence. If there are questions, though, I'll do my best to answer them.
I've decided to hold off on the rubber fill pieces, but the stuff that jschmidt linked above should be just the ticket.

Thanks. The plastic should be flexible enough to deal with the small differences in movement, but I'll keep an eye on them. If necessary, I can always enlarge the holes in the extensions to allow for additional movement.
As for crap getting trapped, the extensions are only attached at the bottom by a piece about 1.25" wide, and other than that are completely open up front. I fully expect *less* junk to accumulate with these in place.
