Default Exhaust tips part 2

will length of the tip have an affect on sound? im contemplating going from a 3 or 3.5x18 tip to a 4x10 or 4x18. heres the contestants:

2.5" Inlet, 3.5" x 5.5" Oval Outlet (9" Long) stainless steel

I'm sure it will have a little bit, but you won't notice a huge difference.

I always thought it was the longer the louder but im probably wrong lol same went for diameter of pipe

I figure my best bet will be the flow master thats 3.5x5.5 at the tip, will the sound vary though being that its an oval outlet and having more surface area than the circle outlet

In most applications, changing out your exhaust tips will make a minimal difference in sound. If anything, a larger tip could deepen your tone slightly. I highly doubt that you will see a noticeable difference in sound between an oval or circle outlet of similar size.

it'll look cooler though haha, thanks for the input, i'll probably be getting it anyways because a friend of mine just got an f150 and ima be giving my old setup to him to add to it including the old 3.5" tip

I went with a 4 in tip instead of my 3.5 in and it slightly deeper tone to it which is what I was wanting but i got a 18 in tip too tho
