Exhaust Exit Preference

Exhaust Exit Preference
I'm gonna be getting dual exhaust installed on my truck in a couple weeks. I'm getting and h or x pipe after the cats and no mufflers. My question is, should I do rear or side exit? I had rear on my '92 and it took me about two weeks to crumple a tip. I'm thinking about side exit because I pull trailers a lot and don't wanna destroy a $30 tip if a trailer gets away while I'm backing it. I just don't know if I should have my exhaust dump like most fords out the back, or risk it looking Chevy-ish and do side exit. I want to hear y'all's opinions.

Yes, you can fit 33's!
Do 90's. Everybody round town has them straight out the back.(you know this! Lol) 45's are alright but if there brought out all the way by the bumper it just looks bad IMO. Who are you havin it done by?

Out the sides right behind the tires, that way if your fording deep water the tires help direct the water away from the exhaust. And, if your doing something behind your truck (like hooking a trailer) your not breathing exhaust if the vehicle is running.

I'm probably goin to Z's down in Sacramento. I never thought of 90's. it looks kinda like stock exhaust in my mind though. If I do 45's, they'll be out the side about 6in from the bumper.

You shouldn't have to worry about hurting your tip if you back up a trailer like a normal person and not like a maniac. I have mine dumped and I love the clean look.

It was dark and in a tight driveway. My single axel got away from me. Not unusual for me to be in that situation.
