I have a 1998 4.6L F150. I was looking to make it louder, but money seems to be a problem most of the time. I was wondering how I could make my truck louder without spending to much money. I don't need my truck really loud just loud enough to get someone's attention. Any suggestions?

Thanks. I was just looking to make my truck a little more noticeable so thats sounds right for the price. What will this do to my gas milage though? Also is it legal to cut off the muffler or not? Does anyone else know of any other cheap ways that might be a little more expensive and quality wise?

no its not legal bu its cheapest way lol, buy a cherrybomb straight pipe muffler

Drill holes in the pipe every 6 inches... Hole size should be approximately 3/8 to 9/16. Any bigger and they will rust out faster.

Cut muffler out like I did and it sounds awesome.

I was going to go ask the same question. But, living in Illinois cops will check for a muffler so what would be the next best thing?
