Default Exhaust

Hi All, the exhaust on my 2003 F150 with the 5.4L in the back is rusted away and I wanted to know if there is a kit I can buy so I can replace it myself. If doesn't have a muffler anymore it has a glasspack installed by the previous owner so I am not even sure if the back half of the exhaust is stock. After the glasspack there is a Y pipe and then two pipes on either side go to the back. If that was an option then it probably is stock. So that would be the kit I would need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to stay near the $500 mark if possible.

Thanks.

The stock exhaust would have been a single pipe coming out on the passenger side behind the tire. It sounds like the previous owner replaced everything from the muffler back.

If you want to replace it yourself, you can look for a cat-back exhaust system from somewhere like Summit Racing. RockAuto has factory style replacement exhaust parts.

The most simple solution would be finding an exhaust shop to remove and replace the pipes. If you really want to save some money just eliminate the rear pipes and install a turndown after the muffler.
