Default Engine knocking and popping

So driving down the road and kinda got on the gas and all the sudden the motor started popping and shaking, got the 5.4 and it's coming from the left side next to the throttle body, I have no idea what this is. Thanks

The number 7 plug on you 5.4 should be on the right side and the second from the rear. If you want to save some money, take out this plug, clean the socket hole with a round wire brush, inspect the plug and clean as necessary. If the plug looks OK, put some anti seize on the threads and put it back in. Torque to about 15 lbs. After getting everything back together, see if that fixes the problem.

You said that this problem came from the back near the throttle body on the left, could be you have a leak in your heater hose that is getting water in the plug socket and causing your misfire. Something you might want to check.

What did the shop say? I'm curious as to why you want to "do them all", providing you mean fix the stripped threads.

What is the bill and did they do a lock-n-stich or helicoil?

Slight ticking has been known to be because of a loose plug.
