Not that anyone even cares about my ls shenanigans lol. But made some more progress last night. Almost rounded out several rocker bolts, but luckily got them all off without incident. Damn near shat myself if they were rounded and stuck on. Last thing i wanted to do is drill some bolts on the head.
Another surprise is that my timing chain seems to be super stretched. So instead of re-using the chain im probably going to have to remove the oil pump and put a new one on which makes the job a little more complicated.
Got the sparkplugs removed. And wow they are alot easier than the modular engines haha

Engine Builders talk.
It'll be worth it bud. installing a new engine is never easy. I pulled my timing cover twice after I installed it. Every time I tried to start it, it fired only on 3 cylinders. I thought I had a tooth off. Come to find out when I pulled the engine originally and pressure washed it water got in the fuel rail and ruined my injectors. I was working on it 100 miles away from home and could only get there on the weekends. A little double inspection of everything and I finally figured it out. Needless to say I feel your pain.
And that's nice @4x4dave! Get it running yet?
I haven't been on here much lately due to the app no longer working. The garage talk app lags something terrible and is a p.i.t.a. I hate ads.

Any of yall built or messed with a coyote? I have been throwing the idea of picking up a non running on, rebuilding it, getting a new wiring harness from ford and throwing it in the truck. I know it wouldn't be cheap, so I probably wouldn't be able to start until next year and even then it would be a long process. My goal is 500/500 and I want to try to keep it NA. I don't think that would be to difficult with a new 5.0.

Oh dang ok haha well there goes that idea I figured since the crate engines are rated at 400 something stock 500 would be somewhat easily doable. Guess not tho. I havnt really looked at torque #s or curves, do they make all there power up top?
