Ball & socket works too. Just another way to skin a cat. BTW, I can't take credit for the idea. An old hot rodder at American Muffler in Valdosta, Ga did it up for me. Guy's got over 40 years experience creating custom exhaust. Had a sweet late 60''s firebird on the rack beside mine. He had to give me a bib.

Still down south..definitely sucks How's long has it been on? It surprises me the slip ons work like that with no leaks. I like the concept though. Right now I have 2.5" h-piped true duals with no mufflers from the fact back cats back. I think I'll have it all taken off and have the shop rig up a cat-less mid pipe into a single 3" Y pipe. Then I'll put the rest on and dump it before the tire with a cheap thrush or something.

Completed it February of 2012. No leaks whatsoever. 2.5" coming off each side into a 2.5" dual in/dual out muffler with an internal x-pipe. I love it dumping in front of the rear tire. Sounds bitchin when your stomping on it with the windows down. Nice & quiet for cruising speed too. Hate obnoxiously loud exhaust. "Damn KIDS!" LOL
Your plan sounds good. great flow & enough back pressure. Will do good with the charger. Get all new pipes when you do it.
I'm looking for a $30 muffler lol
Who, what?
