The factory off road package w/5.4L had the dual core standard. Well at least they did if you had the E4OD/4R100 AFAIK. Still have my original @ 317,000 miles. I'd definitely see if Tasca Ford has one. If they do, it will be the original or just like it. They have fair pricing, used them quite a bit in the past. Then I'd check Rock Auto. If you to have it shipped, at least they warehouses all over the U S and shipping is fairly quick and reasonable.

Those are who I trust anyway but yea, look around and know what exactly your getting.

I would check Tousley Ford too. I bought all of my diesel Motorcraft parts through them. Cheapest Motorcraft parts I found and Tasca was a close second.

Well its not going to be the same price. Youd have to buy new heads to do a PI swap. And then buy a new intake. And new exhaust manifolds. Other than that itd be pretty straight forward. There are a lot of threads regarding PI swaps on older 97-98 models (im assuming thats what you have).

But if you are just doing the head gasket job without the swap all youd need is new gaskets and whatever other parts you want to replace while youre in there.

Yea exhaust manifolds are the same on all 97-03/some 04. Ports/mounting haven't changed on that side (exhaust) of the heads.

Not quite done installing, but got these in the mail today. 80$ to the door. Hopefully will drop my IAT"2" temps in traffic by at least 30 degrees. Hopefully this will cool the intake temps and will also indirectly help coolant / ECT temps. I'm a bit concerned with how close together all the radiators, coolers, heat exchangers are, but not much i can do unless ibd wants to sell his piaa front valance haha. Lightning valance would have plenty of airflow but would look aweful.

Today it hit 93 and the truck felt it. After 2 summers with the s/c im going to say that extra cooling capacity is a must. Our trucks stock cooling system sucks when you throw boost at it.
