Default Engine advice

I recently acquired a fixer upper ~ 2003 w/4.6l xlt

While removing the injectors, a plastic pintle cap remained behind. I attempted to retrieve it, but it slipped into the head. Without removing the head, I have no clue of the seriousness of this issue.
I could use some feedback/suggestions. Thanks in advance

Pretty serious
It is hard plastic, and will most likely cause some damage or hang a valve up
I would pull the intake manifold off, and hope that particular intake valve was closed, where I could easily retrieve it
Are you sure it is not still in the bottom of the injector port?
I don't think those are supposed to be able to get sucked through in case one cracks

ide try getting it out...
remove sparkplug & shoot compressed air using an air compressor & long nozzle,

but that being said...
ive blown stuff through the motor lots of times.
start & high rpms...

as stated, its only plastic, combustion will burn it up...

but, im a professional, outcome may vary...

I'm in the process now. The valves were closed so hoping it'll be an easy retrieval. The plastic if hard but not brittle. The issue apparently isn't that uncommon. Thsnks for the timely feedback.

You might be able to blow it out with compressed air if it is down in the cylinder
Otherwise, I would chance it too and hope it blew out or burnt up. It won't do the catalytic converter any good
I'd try like hell to get it out

I removed the intake. One quick shot and it flew out. After investigating, I found the outside diameter of the caps was not large enough to rest on the internal lip of the hole. Thank you for commenting.

ive seen it many times....
I always spray base of the injector with some sort of lubricant before prying them out.
Sometimes it helps to avoid scenarios like this but regardless always good practice.
